Brett Woodworth graduated with a B.S. In Biology from SUNY Geneseo in 2022. While at Geneseo, he realized that he wanted to work in marine sciences. He conducted three years of undergraduate research studying the swimming kinematics and phylogeny of deep-sea fish. After graduation, Brett worked as an intern with NOAA on a hydrographic survey mapping waters along the Aleutian Trench and Bering Sea. Furthermore, he spent a year working as a laboratory technician at Syracuse University working on zebrafish development research. At CCOM, he hopes to merge and expand upon his marine biology and hydrographic experiences to conduct research. He is interested in studying the interactions between marine organisms and their physical environment, and how they influence one another. Outside of school, Brett love playing basketball, hiking, mountain biking, and watching movies/TV shows.
