Imo Abasiekong is a registered surveyor with the Surveyors Council of Nigeria. He holds a bachelor's degree in Geoinformatics and Surveying (Upper Second-Class Honours) from the University of Uyo. He has worked in all littoral states in Nigeria and offshore in the Gulf of Guinea. He has ample surveying experience in bathymetric surveys, engineering/construction surveys, among others. Before joining CCOM, he worked as a surveyor for the Nigeria Ports Authority Channel Maintenance Project. He hopes to obtain FIG/IHO/ICA Category A certification and excel as a seasoned hydro-spatial scientist. His research focuses on using computer vision and robotics to support bathymetric data gathering. He enjoys running and soccer, and hopes to watch Arsenal win the league at the Emirates Stadium.
